Bought a new to me boat and the lid locks are hard to open and lock. What's the best thing to use to get them moving freely?

Not certain with what your situation is. However, on Bass Cats the kids are hard to lock because they are adjusted that way. You have to push down on the lid. There is a rubber seal that compresses underneath. This is what makes them waterproof.

I'm looking for a lubricant to make them move smoother. Just wondering what you guys use for marine use.

I use PB Blaster to loosen them up and white lithium grease to lube them...

They just might need a little adjustment on the bottom side also. Might be a little to tight.

I use WD40 silicone spray once a month in mine. Just a little spritz in each one every month & they're smooth as glass. Simple maintenance. I do it every month along with a screwdriver to check every screw. Takes 15 minutes start to finish.
