I want to work a jig like a worm in ponds. The problem is all the moss and vegetation. Is there a jig that can work the bottom without catching moss and vegetation every cast?

Not really but a weightless trick worm works great!

If you're fishing out of a boat you can drop it or pitch it through the holes but if your fishing from the bank and the moss/vegetation is that thick you're pretty much stuck with a fluke or weightless worm and staying on top.

The ponds I have on my property all have algae and moss at the bottom, I can only fish weightless baits or topwater for the most part. I think you like throwing them already but throw a white or white chartreuse swim jig and keep it moving, it'll work.

Weightless plastics, top waters, and spinnerbait's burned just under the surface are good options. Another option I've used is a dropshot. The weight gets in the algae but the bait usually stays above it, especially on shorter casts and in deeper water. It depends on the type of weeds or algae you're dealing with but you'll figure it out pretty quick.

A jig is destined to get buried and drag up all that gunk on the bottom with how bulky they are. Stick to weedless presentations like weightless senkos/flukes, weedless swimbaits, and the like. Maybe a light t-rig if you really want to work the bottom.

You can go with am 1/8th ounce jig... it will help. But it comes with the territory

Micro jigs. The lighter the weight the less they'll get buried in the slime.

You might try a real light split shot, a skirt, worm hook and whatever trailer you like.
I've used this rig in the past for a real slow fall.

Try a Neko rig as well.
