While moving and keeping stuff in storage someone decided to cut the lock off of my storage unit and steal all of my falcon cara's and lews reels. It took years to get all of those rods and now with two kids I cant spend 250.00 per rod.
My question is I have been looking at the abu garcia veritas " on sale with tackle warehouse" I also see dobyns has a fury series now so seeing if anyone has had good or bad luck with either. I see some reviews on the abu rods breaking but I dont ever judge off of a few

I like my diawa airdx better than my veritas (original and 2.0) and they are much cheaper. Abu warranty has treated me better than you could possibly expect so it's hard to argue with the brand (check my recent posts for story.)

I have a few furys and have been satisfied with them. Not as lite as the champion but has good sensitivity. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Sorry to hear this. Daiwa Aird X, No. 8 Tackle Blackout, and the Quantum Equalizer are good if you're on a tight budget. Also don't forget used rods

Nothing wrong with the Fury's. Been using them this season and like them. Cant beat Dobyn's warranty.

Falcon Bucoo for $100 if you're open to other brands. I love mine. Not too much a fan of the new ones since they shipped them over to China and didn't change the price. The black handle ones are made in the USA and are absolutely fantastic. Jason Christe Specials are made in the states as well i believe

Lew's Laser $79.99 @ Academy

I bought one for my grandson, and I liked it so much I bought 2 for myself.

I was wondering if when the cut the lock off were the combos in your boat in the unit? Perhaps they might be covered by insurance?

Fury all the way. Veritas is fine but they are a little heavier. Great feel in my Fury rod and use it 50% of the time.
