I did it, I put a new MK TERROVA with IPILOT on my boat. From the 2.5 hour I was able to get on the water yesterday I really like what it does. I went out to the main part of the lake and faced into the wind then hit the spot lock. It was not white capping but a good steady wind and I stayed in the same place for 20 min. It did drift over a little but not much. I made two Itracks and when I get back out I going to see how well it tracks back to them. Any one who has a system like this and has some pointer they want to share I open for any help.

Is it the new model or the old? I have the old and it holds pretty good but after hearing about the improved spotlock, I really want to see it in person because I am thinking about upgrading to an Ulterra, if it holds that much better. As far as the tracks go, I've only tested it one time and it worked great but I've never actually used it again. There are probably times that I could use it but forget it is there. In fact, now that I think about it, I like to night fish lights. I should make me a trail that avoids all the stumps so I can just send the boat to the next light and steer around the hazards between.

What electronics are you using ?
Do you have it linked to them? Or just using the remote ?

Thanks
Dave

Mine is always saying that but somehow there's always a real need for something else. I saw a video the other day and one of the pro's was explaining it this way. Purchasing fishing equipment isn't an expense, it's an investment in relaxation.

No I don't have them linked.
I only have an Lawrence Elite 3x on the bow. I have an Elite 7HDI at the dash. The 7 was a big disappointment for the amount of $ it cost. The down image is not very good and I never spent the $150. for a Nav. chip. I fish two lakes around Waco and could not justify it.

On the wife thing, I tell her I gave up hunting, golf, bowling, smoking, I don't do bars or strip clubs and at 71 what else do I have left.
