GV was a bust this morning. Went back to Marshall Creek and put out 12 noodles with good perch on the flats and the gar had them cleaned in 30 mins. Only had one blue hooked that got hung up on a tree and pulled the hook. All I got to show for the morning is 4 foot of slime on that one line. There are some monster gar back there. I saw some gator gar that looked to be 7 footers and lots of 4 and 5 foot long nose.

This 4 or 5 ft bait stealing bastage followed me all over the place before it messed up and chomped an 8/0 octopus. Got off right at the boat.

That's not gonna happen. It's all about them. Throw in the jet fleas and the wake board boats and summer on the lakes really sucks.

What I like about my brother's place at Kiowa. Wake board boats not allowed. Jet skis not allowed until after 12 noon. Air boats not allowed. Strict enforcment!
Lots and lots of nice fat channel cats. 30 crappie limit.
Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday.

Ditch pickle boats blow through my drifts on the main lake humps of LV way more then ski boats. I chalk the ski boats guys up as ignorant cause most of the time they wave. I try and get off the water before noon when they start to show up.. but bass fisherman ought to know better then to run wide open that close and right across my drift path all while never waving. slinger texas

There needs to be a size limit on these inland lakes. I have no clue why they ever allowed 30+ yachts on Grapevine or Lewisville....oh yes $$$$.

Where on Denton Creek? If you don't mind me asking. Fished up there on Saturday during the rain but only caught a few.
