I have a 13 year old nephew that is going to visit from California next month and wanted to take him bank fishing. Does anyone a good place or places to try around Round Rock/Georgetown?

I have seen post here in the past about lake George Town. That lake has some nice fish. Also you may try Inks Lake State Park. Lots of bank space.

Memorial Park in Round Rock is good for creek fishing. Lots of bank space and sunfish.

Lady Bird Lake south Austin has a lot of bank space! Also about 30 minutes south in San Marcus you can fish the San Marcus River at the park.

The San Gabriel is fun. I fished the North and South Fork recently and enjoyed it. They were not big, but they were happy fish. Can be a little tricky getting into the river, steep banks, big rocks etc...

Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart
