I had pulled out a number of 2-4 lb'ers this year but nothing huge until yesterday. She went 5 1/4 lbs and just under 21". The creek was not in prime condition - water clarity was stained and quite a bit of leaves & debris still floating around (I'm assuming from the recent heavy rains). But I saw her in ~1' of water hanging around a bluegill bed, probably waiting on an easy meal. Got her on the 2nd cast with a stickbait. Put up a great fight, and had a lot of cool-looking black spots in her markings. Love to fish the Creek! !  Shoe pictured is a size 11 wide  NICE SNAG! Where at on TC did you catch this piggy? If you don't mind sharing.

I fish TC primarily from Stonebridge Dr all the way up to Exall Lake. Yesterday's catch was on a stretch south of Avondale. Great creek to fish, especially when it's running clear. Not so much after a heavy rain!

I fish TC primarily from Stonebridge Dr all the way up to Exall Lake. Yesterday's catch was on a stretch south of Avondale. Great creek to fish, especially when it's running clear. Not so much after a heavy rain! Were you down at Stonebridge? that's a cool little area. I've fished almost the entire creek where accessible. I dont mind when it rain's I've has success there too. they like to get up on the bank when it rains.

Stonebridge is a cool area, but for some reason I've never snagged a big one there. Thanks for the tip on fishing the banks after rain. I typically avoid the creek after decent rain, but I'll give it a try using your advice.

Eric Ive caught cats, but they only tend to be in the areas of turtle creek that they have made into ponds. I've never seen any in the creek portion. I know they are here - Turtle Creek (Pond Highland Park) - Google Maps

Had to go into work late. Spent my morning fishing. Not a bad way to start your morning I love this little pond in Highland Park. Caught some really nice bass and catfish here.

I went out there on Sunday morning with my fly rod and some green poppers. Saw one small rise but no real action to speak of. Was probably a little too muddy due to the rain but this is a really nice spot.

Can confirm. The pond south of Exall lake is good. My son and I did ok from about 9am-12pm today. Didn't have a scale, but this guy felt like a 2 to 3 lb-er. We caught a few others that were smaller, all LMB. Edit: We hit the creek downstream first, but didn't see/feel anything but blue gill and other bait fish.
