Both 200s. What is top end performance difference if any?

It's going to depend on the boat and how they are propped. The manufacturer's specs should tell you most of what you want to know.

I was assuming same prop and set up. Boat is a 22' bay

the merc will be a little faster but the Yamaha four stroke has a much better hole shot an you can troll for 10 miles hit the gas an no hesitation an the 100 hrs between oil changes is nice that being said they are both good motors if proper service is done.
