If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

They're not underway.

Sorry but technically yes they are if your not at anchor or tied to something you are considered underway.

Not trying to stir up anything fellows, I am a father of two, they both know how to swim, in the lakes they always have PFD. Just the dad in me talking; that's all

No need to apologize. I know the TPWD definition of "underway." Since they were drowning shad, I assumed they were either at anchor or power polled down.

I am probably wrong, but I thought children under a certain age were required to wear a pfd at all times. Please let me know if I am wrong. Thanks in advance.By the way GREAT job with the kiddos dad.You will never forget time spent with your children.

http://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/safety/life_jackets/

Children under 13 years of age in or on vessels under 26 feet must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved wearable PFD while underway.

So, if you're not anchored, tied to some permanent mooring structure or beached, you are underway

For all we know their PFD's could be under their sweaters.

It's the social media world we live in now. Everyone's a critic, nobody can just say nice pic and move on. Or here's a crazy thought, if you don't like something- just ignore it and move along.....that won't happen ever.
