Has anyone had success with flounder in late July (22-26)? I will be visiting for a few days with my family. My wife and in-laws aren't big into fishing so I will be searching for fishing spots solo. Some reports have suggested to try fishing the piers. I went last year but have mostly found hardheads and crowds.
My plan is to pick up some gulp alive shrimp (new penny) and search for flounder in back channels. Any one know if it is essential to have a boat to do well with flounder during this time of year?
