On your tied jigs do y'all minnow tip them? I do with store bought ones and it seems to make them bite when nothing else will. Also is there a good absorbent thread or material that you use that can hold scent?

Minnow tipping can turn a very bad trip into a very good trip this time of year. I usually use plastics when I tip them but a feather jig will also work. Minnows would have sure helped me yesterday.

I will, especially if I'm searching for fish. But when I ketch one I'll go right back without a minnow. Sometimes that is what it takes to turn them on...

I've never ever tipped a jig with a minna....
when I went to jigs I threw all minna accessories away.....
