I have a Motor Guide trolling motor that has two large springs running down the center. Those darn things are annoyingly noisy, any tips or suggestions on how to quiet them down? Besides buying a MinnKota. Thanks.

Try spraying them with silicon spray.

I have the same problem. MG Tour Edition. The loud noise from the spring is driving me crazy. Seems to happen mostly when making a hard turn. It didn't do it when it was newer. I'll try the silicon spray.
