Lake Fork | Two Man Limit

Today was Rick and his son Chris. These two were ready to go as soon as they got out of the truck.

Today the bite was very light and had to be on your toes. Summer time pattern has set in on all the lakes i have fished. Fish are there, it's just getting one to bite.

Today we fished a little slower than i like to fish. We would get ready to leave and someone would catch one, then we would get ready to leave again and then another one would catch one.

Fished 8 spots today. And I threw the last fish on ice at 12:10.

These two guys were fun to fish with. We joked around all day long and made for a fun trip. Time goes by fast when you are having fun on the water.

Big fish today was #2:20

Ended the day with a two man limit, 50 crappie!

Graph picture is one of the spots we fished today. Depth of fishing 16-22 foot and got bit anywhere from a foot to four foot off the bottom.
Thank you guys again and enjoy your fish fry.

We have an opening for this saturday.
Give me a call if you want to fill your freezer!

Awesome day.... I love the screenshot!!

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Mark, that is pretty much my story yesterday on Fork. I had 18 with the largest 1.71lbs before calling it a day. Depth was pretty much the same and 17' down for most of them. I only caught one off the bottom a crank up. They liked minnows better. The minnows were small so I tried mainly with a jig tipped for a bigger presentation for larger fish. White/Chart/tipped until I snagged and realized I didn't have enough line on the reel; so I got lazy and went with the rod drop shot rigged for minnows only.

I was doing a lot of surveillance for new spots. I saw crappie everywhere; getting them to bite wasn't easy. Patience was key.

I had four fish (3 large, one smaller) that had a really high hump, then tapered quickly behind the rib cage to form the tail section. Kind of strange for white crappie - noticed it more when filleting. And their fillets were thick.

Glad you were able to get limits for your clients.
