Caught several copper nose this evening in a pond that I didn't realize had them. Wondering if this is a female?

Great colors​ regardless.

Male for reference.

Some of these were good sized.

I do not know fish I.D. all that well as for male/female fish. I think the second fish looks like a BIG fat Female with eggs. Just guessing.

I think your surmise is correct. Top pic is small female, bottom is a male.

I love the colors on copper nose gills !
