This isn't necessarily about fishing but my dad used to say getting a double yolk in an egg was good luck. One time he was fishing a tourney and that morning he cooked a dozen eggs. 11 of 12 eggs had a double yolk. They got skunked lol

As you probably noticed from my initial post, my grandma is very superstitious. One of her many superstitions is that if you drop a washcloth\hand towel you have to shake it out of your going to have company stop by the house. Never understood where the hell she picked up all these crazy ideas.

My dad would never fish in the dark for fear of snakes you couldnt see That's not superstitious, that's just smart.

If a dragonfly lands on you bobber you were going to get a bite😄. My grandpa used to tell me that it was good luck to have a dragonfly land on your fishing pole while you were fishing. You couldn't prove it by me.
