well, its fr the citizens of denison TX unfortunately. i got a stern warning from a game warden a few years ago. we were pulling out of the property and he stopped us on the highway. he said that if he would have witnessed us fishing he would have written tickets. sounded childish considering i told him exactly what we were doing. either way he didn't give me a ticket so all is good i guess. Dale Moses is now retired but I can assure you his buddies are of the same basket of eggs

on to the fishing... tons of crappie and sand bass in the lake. find structure or brush. there's not much of it. last i heard they were drawing down the lake for maintenance on the dam. not sure if they are done or not.

HAHA I've heard stories of ole Dale. I am a resident so that shouldn't be an issue. I usually Herman Baker and have been whackin the bass, just looking for something new. Guess I'll just drive out there after work and take a look.

Are you reffering to the younger guy over in Delta, Chris? I dealt with him 2-3 times this past year and he seemed like a straight shooter to me...

And I never made it out there yesterday so I'm still hoping someone will chime in on the lake!

Yes, I would think obeying the laws your sworn to enforce would be mandatory, not really sure how TPWD justified letting him stay on

shocked WoooooW that's crazy. There's been some really shady S@#$ going on over in Delta co. and I saw it 1st hand last year. Someone stole all my hunting equipment from a property "feeders, cameras and my freaking box blind" long story short, I found my stuff on my own and was told by the warden that the guy "lied to him and he will deal with him personally" It was weird all around. I know where the guys live now and made it known that the warden would not be involved if there's any other issues with my property "since we're on good ole boy justice system"

I fished it many years ago and caught tons of bass. Fished a fluke in the grass all day.

I haven't fished there in twenty years but fished it all the time growing up. I know it was drawn down for quite awhile to repair the dam. Doubt there are any smallmouths in there. Ok bass fishing and great sandbass and crappie lake.

Looking at Bing maps from last summer the lake is still really down. Doubt it has come up with what little rain we've got this winter/spring.

They pump water from Texoma into it. If the repairs are done it should be kept full.
