Heat wave and high wind had the carp on fire in full pre-spawn feeding mode today. Limited space due to high water level had us fishing only 2 rods, but Eli managed to land a whopping 21 of 26 carp + 1 channel catfish in less than 9 hours of fishing. That included 3 double headers, amazing considering that we only had 2 rods in the water. 5 of the carp were between the 20 and 25.5 lbs range, with many other in the upper teens, his total combined weight for the day was well over 300 lbs of carp landed. Not too shabby for an 11 year old, he's earned his bragging rights yet again.
