Posted this on the inshore section too...wanting to do some night fishing after the kiddos go to sleep for some specks n reds. How would you rank these piers? Specifically at night.
Have heard good things but not tried Oso or Conn Brown yet, but would rank Red Dot, Caldwell, then Bob Hall in that order. Again, not fishing for sharks...just trout, reds, flounder.
Aaaaaaaand...go!

Red Dot first. Have a lot of good memories from Red Dot. Going back to my childhood. Then I'd rate Bob Hall and Horace Caldwell about the same. Love them both . All can be difficult to fish at times, but they can be a real ball at times too. I haven't fished OSO or Conn Brown either. Now my all time favorite pier to fish is the one in Rockport that belongs to the Balboa Courts Hotel. I have caught more fish off it than any place I've ever fished. It really is a special place to the many of us who keep going back there for the past 50 years or so. I know of a man who had his ashes scattered off the T-head of that pier. Need I say more.
