Had a great day fishing with Chuck and Jamie. Wish I'd taken more footage.

Cool! I like the soundtracks you added at the beginning. I don't think I have ever seen a bluegill with bars as dark as that one. Very pretty fish.

It was great meeting you and fishing with you. I enjoyed the video. That will be a vivid reminder of the day.

Mac, that's high praise coming from you. I aspire to be as good as a filmmaker as you are. I always get excited when you post a new video. It was great meeting you and fishing with you. I enjoyed the video. That will be a vivid reminder of the day. It was awesome meeting and fishing with you, Jamie. I meant to shoot some footage of you and Chuck fishing, but the day got away from me. Next time I'll do that before I get a line wet.

Wow! Now I've got a fat head! Thank you sir! What you shot is what FishyB and I refer to as a "gonzo" video. Meaning, you go on a trip without really planing the video out. No story boards, no staged shots, no planned ahead of time theme. Just you and maybe another guy or group of guys fishing. Then you pull a camera out every so often and take a few quick shots - without any fan fair. I like these kinds of videos because, one, you get to fish a lot more and two, the video is much more relaxed and you capture some raw emotion in it. The downside is the video is usually a little shakey, nobody is every standing in the right place and the lighting is always better where your subject is NOT. My problem is that I want to create a video as apposed to just " letting it happen". I have found that, with this style, I don't get to fish as much as film and I spend a lot of time frustrated. Oh well, I'm still outside doing what I like so it's all good.

I hear you on trying to balance your two loves of fishing and filming. It's what I imagine having two girlfriends would be like...sounds awesome when your buddies find out about it, but probably not as much fun as you'd think!
