Hey ya'll, I need some help looking for a good fishing charter to take 5 people on in Texas at the Port Aransas, Chorpus Christi area, or wherever. We're looking for game fish like jacks or good table fair fish to catch in general. I don't want to break the bank with a $1000 trip either. I've had bad experiences with some charters where the people were rude and just seemed to hate the faft that they HAD to be out fishing. Do ya'll have any good auggestions? This trip is important to me since it's the only time I'll get to see my brother for a while and he's bringing his girlfriend (doesn't know how to fish) so I'm open to suggestions and anything ya'll got. Thanks!

Call Joey Barnet in Galveston 979-799-5421 I think he's running a good off shore boat with reasonable rates and can put you guys on some fun fish.

Does he have a website you can refer me to so I can check him out? I googled him and I'm coming up with a bunch of results mentioning that name.

Give Ken bridgeman for the corpus area. 361.229.8050. He can probably get you on some reel burners right off shore. I stay in the bay and flats for trout , reds and occasional flounder.

You can give me a call if you would like. I grew up in Rockport and have fished this area my whole life. I would highly suggest that you break the group up into two boats. Five guys on a boat is going to get really tight. Also, if you are on the fish it is really hard for the guide to take care of everyone. If you want to wade then that is another story but it is still crowded. Check out the links at the bottom for more info
