Mileage update with 17 Ram, never ran a full tank as I always keep it 1/2 or more if possible to do so just me there, filled up Sat pm city and hiway with no towing, 210 miles checked both ways computer and hand calculator
computer 23.1 calculator 22.6
Will have multiple towing trips this week so it will fall some unless I take my Ford 250 diesel 4x4 which I will on 1 of them for sure just to drive it.
I do not drive fast usually a few under speed limits, my roads here are not all paved I travel. Just to town and home is 50% paved.
Mileage seems to be improving some with more miles on new truck.
I am glad I did not get the V6 now.

Over 3000 miles on the 17 Ram and MPG figured by hand and truck computer is very close, 22+ mpg overall on it, if it was not for all the boat towing it would be better. 14.5 towing last 4-5 trips in last 2 weeks
I am very pleased with the truck all but the "NO KEY" and the cost of a replacement.
Just the metal replacement door/tailgate key was priced $22 & $42 at the dealer by 2 different people. Ace hardware did it for $2.12.

Update 5000+ miles city, rural, hiway & avg 3 trips a week towing a boat or trailer.
21.9 total on the 17 Ram 5.7 hemi 2/10th difference in computer and hand calculated
My only negative is I wish it had a metal key.
Overll better than expected with a 4x4

5800 miles on the Ram since new combined mileage 22.6, towing, rural, highway and city. The last 225 showed just about the same both hand figured and computer which are very close less then .5 with the computer being better.
Overall I am pleased with the truck other than no real key. It does pull trailers very well.

Not sure if all Rams are the same or not, I would suspect they are. My 2015 and I know the 2016 also only keep a running average of the most recent 200 miles no matter when you clear the trip odometers.

How about 10. I need a bigger truck with a much bigger gas tank. 21 gallon tank does not cut it on a 350 mile drive. I was running 70-75 most of the time. I know if I cut it back to 60 the mpgs would be much better. A bigger truck is in my short term plans. I do not normally get on the interstate too much with boat and Texoma is a long haul for me.

he past have a trailer tire blow several times I do not drive fast hauling any more also not towing, about 14 + - towing my CC boat, I have 2 trip meters A & B that show mileage B has never been reset from new and give an estimate of all my miles driven I always figure both ways and usually can predict how much fuel I burn very closely. Yesterdays trip I drove my old 4x4 F250 and yes it does haul better with 13 mpg loaded or not. I have avg over 20 for all miles in my RAM since new based on total fuel used. I am very pleased with it except no real key!
I do drive a lot of miles and very conservatively.
I am not a fast driver, also where I live most of the roads are not paved anyway.

7600 on my 17 ram now real mileage both hand figured and truck computer is averaging close to 22 both ways highway better than that but figured with in town here at home and hi way, towing CC boat is 14 usually with no problems at all. The truck has plenty of power and rides great.
