Spooled 20lb Power Pro on my spinning setup for my girlfriend a few days ago...she has a really hard time getting good hooksets, but the braid seemed to be the answer as she finally got some good fish to the boat.

Nothing but Suffix 832. I've used power pro, it's ok. And spiderweb, never again. A few other as well but nothing compares to Suffix IMO

Power Pro. It's 50% off at Academy right now. 300 yard spool for $10. I wanted 50 or 65 lb and couldn't find any in store or online though. You might be able to find 20 or 30 lb though.

Just a technical point here, maybe a bit pedantic, but a spincast reel is a close faced, covered reel . . . like many beginner Zebco reels. You surely mean a spinning reel I think. Braid on a spincast reel wouldn't work well.

I like Sufix 832 braid best but haven't used a lot of others. For almost all finesse applications, 10 lbs. is plenty.

Let us know what you spool on!

Brad
