Just got this from a JDM site. They may have been out a while but I had not seen them before. It's a Lucky Craft Big Bait Special Bulldog. 4 inches & 2 ounces. It's a beast. Can't wait to chuck it on the swimbait rod!

Interesting that it comes with a rear prop blade attached that you can swap out for the included Colorado blade.

You can't go too big on wakes, imo. This is the best wakebait I've ever seen and also used. It's the MS Slammer. I like the 9" and the 13" models. But you can also get them in 7" and "mini".

Make sure to use the snap on the front. It helps with action.

Watching this post closely, I'm just getting into the big bait deal. Where is the best place to buy and the best forums to follow and learn from. I caught my first few nice SB fish last week, and lost a couple more really nice ones as I was under powered. Then perfect timing, I just today won a rod of choice from a G-Rod drawing, I chose their 400$ 7'10" heavy. It should bomb some larger baits. What are some good baits to start off with? Been throwing convicts and Mark Perry pours.

I think Oak Ridge Marina has the best selection, Lake Fork Marina and Lake Fork Resort close behind in that area. APT, and Fun & Sun in the metroplex. https://www.outdoorproshop.com/ is a really good online one.
As far as forums, not real sure, but on Facebook, you have Swimbait Universe and Swimbait Badlands.

Well if you want to get into throwing big baits... Check out Swimbaitunderground.com. I lived in CA for 4 years and fished a lot of big baits, especially the Slammer (my favorite big bait). I've had the best fishing trips of my life throwing a 9in and 13in black slammer at night. That bait absolutely gets crushed. When I first started throwing big baits I used my Dobyns 805 punch rod, but I worked at Tackle Warehouse at the time so I was quick to buy a Mike Long 795 Dobyns SB rod and that rod made all the difference. I lost a lot of big ones on the 805, but that was the only rod I had at the time that was beefy enough to through those baits. As soon as I got that 795 SB rod, I landed almost every fish I hooked up with. My brother and I went night fishing at our favorite central California lake 7 times that summer, we caught 30+ pounds 6 out of 7 trips with our smallest limit being 27lbs. The only bait I had on was a MA Slammer. Make sure you change out the split rings with owner hyper wire split rings and owner ST-41s. That rod will throw Bullshads and 8-10in Triple Trouts as well.
