I nailed a 2x6 go my outdoor workbench for my last one. Temporary but worked well enough that it was still there when I moved.

Can you not put down blankets and such to pad it and lay it on its side? I don't think it hurts to lay them down.

The manufacturer said the oil will run in to the cylinders

How big is it, and how long does it have to be off? We've used a come-a-long and hung'em from trees on bigger motors, or you could probably just stand it up in a corner if it's small enough to lift off yourself.

Pull off cowling find lift pounts and chain it to a tree branch in your front yard.

Call around some shops and see if they have any from new motors.i got one from Rockwall once

If it's a Yamaha Skeeter will give you one. My dad went to Miss. last year to pick up a motor, called them and they told him to come get one.
