I know in north and east Texas there are a few guys that will spend a few hours with you to get your electronics dialed in. Can anyone recommend someone closer to the New Braunfels area that can help with this. Im willing to pay but finding time to travel 5 or 6 hours, basically taking up a couple days is tough although I do enjoy a road trip.

Everyone raves about Slade on Fork, 817-797-8762. I haven't used him (yet) but probably will when I get a final set up.

There are several of us around that teach the use and understanding of marine electronics. We board your boat and spend a couple of hours going through set-up, operation, and interpretation.

So happens, a couple guys I work with invited me to Fork in a couple weeks. Have an appointment with Slide. $100 per unit. Can't wait.

I charge $100 for 2 hours. Each additional hour is $50. SO far, 2 hours seems to be sufficient.

Do any of these guys troubleshoot gremlins in the Humminbird setups? When I try to share my Helix sonar from one unit with my other 2 units via the ethernet hub, the other 2 repeatedly say "Advanced Sonar Source not found." and asks me if I want to turn it off.

You made a good choice going with Slade. I attended one of his seminars a couple of years ago. He knows what he is doing when comes to fishing electronics. I know you will enjoy your day.
