Actually have 2 or 3 poles that the pole has broken 1 foot or so from the top. Are there repair kits for this . Who sells them.

While people who've been building rods much longer than I have might disagree with me, I don't think I would ever trust a rod that was spliced back together in such a small critical area as 1' from the tip. If anything is used to slip inside the rod to help hold the two pieces together, it's also going to effect the action of the rod.

My next question, not an accusation, would be why are you breaking so many like that? I fish spinning gear almost exclusively, and have for well over 20yrs now. I've yet to have one break like that. Stranger things have happened, no doubt, but to break as many as you have in the same general spot, makes me say, "hmm".

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

Not that it matters but I'm a creek fisherman. Kayak fisherman. We go in very tight spots. Its Easy to break these light medium action poles in tight quarters. So I read about ferrules. Hope they do the trick
