I've had everything I own (5 cars, home, RV, tractor, and an atv) covered by State Farm for almost 10 years. After 1 claim on my boat, the first ever, to repair some damaged on the front and side of the boat caused from being poorly tied to a dock, they dropped me like a lead balloon. So, have you guys had good luck with any other companies for boat insurance?

They dropped just your boat policy or all of them? Either way I would consider another company for everything

Worldwide Marine can get it done. Just make sure they don't sell you a depreciation type policy

They dropped my boat policy, and I agree. We'll start shopping around Monday. Thanks for the referral.

I cut St Farm loose recently after 30 years. The nickel and diming and fighting them over stuff just got to be too much. I'm hearing it a lot lately.

their claims process sure has changed a LOT! I had an auto claim recently and it was a beating, and still working it out! 2 weeks! I'm not impressed at all with how it works now. used to be much simpler. hopefully, i wont have to ever claim a boat mishap with them... i can only imagine what it's going to be like.

I have had State Farm for at least 25 years. I got t-boned in October totalling my pickup. As of my last conversation a month ago they were assigning 50/50 liability. I have yet to get an answer as to why, the one who hit me came out of a Starbucks and hit me when I was in my lane. My agent is worthless. Worldwide Marine is the way to go.
By the end of April I will make a change on my house and cars, done with them.

State Farm denied a claim when I damaged the roll out awning on my RV saying it needed a rider to be covered even though it was a factory installed item. I guess I'll need a rider to cover the bumper on my truck in case I get hit. As soon as a fault accident drops off my record and I can get a decent rate somewhere else, State Farm is fired. State Farm sucks! They wanted $300 a year to insure my boat. Worldwide did it for $147.

Still waiting on the parts from State Farm's contractors to have my truck fixed!! What a rediculous process!!! I am thoroughly disgusted!! Agent couldn't do anything to help.

finally got all my components to my house today! hopefully Wednesday I'll have my truck back to normal.... only a month later... I filed a auto claim with sf after my truck was hit by a guy that ran a stop sign. He has Allstate and I filed a claim with them and found out they're worthless, so I filed with my sf ins., its been 7 weeks and I still don't know if its totaled or not. Dealing with these two companies has been a nightmare. The decision to accept liability or at fault, shouldn't be decided by ins companies, because these two companies cant be trusted. Its like committing a crime, getting caught, and getting to set your own punishment. They're making it so you have to hire an atty and file a lawsuit against them before they will pay, and atty's don't want to take cases like these because there's no money in it, unless there are injuries. It would be nice to take out a policy for a year and then decide if we're going to pay for it, when the year has past. What a racket they're getting away with.

A year and a half ago I got a ticket for running a red lite. Worldwide just went up on my insurance 50 percent. It went from 300 a year to 450. I dont think thats right. See why people hate insurance companies
