Filmed this last weekend. It was very windy so the quality isn't where I would like it but enjoy anyway!

Oh it will go much higher than that but I get a little nervous when I cant see it anymore plus it was extremely windy that day.

There are youtube videos of them going above the clouds over 2000 ft! Highly illegal in the U.S.

Really cool shots you got there, but I have a question. There was a story on the news just a couple days ago where a local group Equi Search had used their aerial vehicle w/camera (drone) to locate missing children and had actual documented cases where it was instrumental in finding and recovering several missing kids. They got a Cease and Desist order from the state of Texas saying they are not authorized to use drones in the state of Texas.

So my question for you is, can you legally do this at this time? Not trying to start trouble, it's just that I would sure hate to hear that you got a knock at your door from the Po Po for something so innocent.

The really sad part is all the water that's being released.

The only laws governing UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) right now is that you are not to fly within 3 miles of an airport or above 400 ft. You aren't legally allowed to use them for commercial use right now either. The FAA is working on regulations for UAVs as we speak and plans to have them fully regulated by the end of 2015. As far as the story you are talking about, I haven't heard anything about it and I am a member of several forums about UAVs and haven't heard anyone speak of this.

Is this vehicle able to hover on an autopilot mode? In other words could I take this with me on the boat to film and be hands free to fish while it's in the air?
