Staying in mexia this weekend and was thinking Fairfield was probably the closest quality lake. Does anyone know what the bass are doing right now? Are they post spawn? All advice is appreciated 👍🏻

I was there for spring break. Caught lots of bass in the reeds on 5" weightless paddle tail flukes, white colorado spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and wacky rigged senkos. Most of the females still had eggs, so they're definitely not done spawning.

Not Fairfield but I was on Limestone this past weekend. Caught 15 on Saturday, mostly keepers but nothing over 3#. Worked coves on either side of the lake near the power lines, went up north for a little while but didnt catch a thing. Didnt find anything but carp on beds and the water was actually a little colder than I expected it to be. Majority of the bites came on pumpkinseed craws with a few others on craw patterned baby-1's.
