Can someone tell me where the closest minnow bait shop is to Navarro Mills. I am looking for one down near the dam area. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Navarro Mills Marina on the Dawson side ( Liberty Hill ) sells minnows and also a pretty good supply of the current popular plastic baits. It's a straight shot to the dam from most of the boat ramps on that side of lake.

They do spawn at the dam also, but more short fish there has been my experience... good luck.

I concur...Marina sells them by the dozen only, and price his high relative to Peggy's...now if you want some plastics, you probably should check out the marina.

Fresh rain water has cooled off the creek fishing...Drop back to staging areas to find biting crappie...now if I can just get a new transducer, I will be able to find Keith's BP's....busted mine coming out of Ash Creek...coldest water on the lake and no crappie to be caught...I only found biting fish in 7 to 12 FOW, save for some creek stragglers from overnight feeding forays....lots of marina fishing folk, not many catching more than 6 per day, most were skunked...lots of folks beating the creek banks with one or two fish on the stringer after a hard day of fishing. Just got off the water from a six day run...that is my report...going back tomorrow for four more days...follow me if you want...
