Matthew Carroll (aka JigUm) posted a video on facebook today talking about catching them shallow in creeks on Granger. Looked like they did well...males and females.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

nice work. I need to get out there soon. what'd you catch those on, if you don't mind my asking.
Give man a fish, he'll eat for a day. Teach man to fish, he'll sit on a boat and drink beer all day.

right on, one of these days I'll have to figure out how to jig right. I can't seem to get the method down with any consistency. hopefully they bite minnows when I head out this weekend. thanks for responding!
