What is convenient, secure and maybe even cheap on the west side of Eagle Mountain? Never launched at this lake. Thanks.

I don't think you're gonna find cheap and secure together. Twin points is (I think) $20 but you have to pay just to get in to the parking lot. In other words, vandals have to pay $20 just to go look around.

Hmm. Thanks. What about further north, even if it's on the east side?

Westbay, ft worth anglers club, and pelican bay on the west side. Wb $20. pb $ 5. Or $10. Fwac is yearly fee $ 70. Or so. Shady grove is free. Not always safe. Pb safer. Westbay safer. Fwac fenced and safest. Twin points $10. Mon. Through Thursday $20. Friday-Sunday. East side place used to be called harbor one. $20. Ft worth boat club $15. Or $20. Auggies by dam and old lauderdals maybe $20. I think that's accurate but I could be off on the east side prices some.

Shady Grove not safe? This ramp is a few blocks from my daughter's house. See police cars patrolling the area quite often. Maybe jbobo knows something I don't. I've never launched there but I know the area is pretty shallow. Have to kind of veer to the south a little.

That's about right but Auggies was 5 or 10 last year. I'm on the east side but I make the haul around Robertson Rd so I can use twin points. And yes it's friggin 20 bucks but it's nice

The azle pd has helped clean up some. Heard a few people had problems a few months ago. Usually early morning. I use it but never leave anything visible and pray it isn't bothered.

I launch at shady grove all the time, and never had any problems. it's ok this time of the year getting in/out, but once the party boats and jet skis start coming out, it's a little frustrating sitting there waiting on them to get on or off the ramp... it's a 2 boat ramp, but most of them back right down the middle!

^^^ been there on that ramp waiting too many times. Sometimes it is funny though. Watched a jet boat about 40 ft out in front of the ramp punch it and let off about 3 times till the transom submerged with the entire boat following. Took almost 2 hrs for them to load it. I roflmao for the first half hour then got realmad

I launch out of shady grove every time never had a problem. Go out on the right side to almost the main lake and you be fine.
