He looks way too comfortable holding it (no strain in his upper back, shoulders, or face from carefully holding a moving heavy fish) His hands are huge

The fish weighed 8lbs 11oz.
I would have guessed her in the 12lb range based on the gut. Just goes to show you how hard it can be to judge the size of a fish based on a picture. The guy definitely has his arms extended and he's sitting down. The camera is also close to the subject allowing the bass to fill the majority of the frame. Good lessons for those who want good pictures of their fish! Nothing worse than catching a toad and getting a crappy picture!

I was gonna say 12 but knowing it was a trick I looked again and landed on 9#.
Generally I am pretty good at guessing bass weights
