Had a great Uncle that had it, He fought through it and lived to be nearly 90 yrs old. He was about 60 or 65 when he got it. I don't remember much about it, but it was hard on him. Well wishes and prayers your way.
Woke up this morning Got yourself a gun....

I have a good friend that has had it for 5-6 years. Probably picked it up at a family ranch down by Clifton. It's been under control with meds but I think she will be on them forever.
Family is everything! Life is precious. We donโt have forever. We have now. This moment. We can choose to love our lives now.

A friend of the familys daughter got it. She was a cross country runner. She got so sick she had to crawl everywhere, and was finally hospitalized where she almost died. I don't know much about it, other than it's transmitted by deer ticks and can kill you. I guess it effects everyone differently but don't take it lightly and do whatever your doctor has advised.

It is the most common vector borne infection. Poses a medium likelihood of acute neurological complications, most common would be a Bell's Palsey and late musculoskeletal complications such as arthritis involving the knees. There is a low likelihood of late neurological or cardiac complications. Usually treated with Doxycycline and most patients do very well.

My girlfriends mom has it. Seems to have different effects on different people. If you don't like the doctors treatment or willingness to try something different, move on. She went round and round with her doctors who weren't really open to treating it before finally finding some who were very helpful. Most days she is fine but she does have days here and there that aren't great. She always stays positive about the situation though which I really think helps her a lot.

Get on top of it now.Very serious illness and can have davistating effects.Seek out MD that treats Lyme disease immediately. A friend of mine has it and had to go to Washington DC to a doctor that would even treat it. Good luck to you.

From the documentary it is an insurance issue. it takes a ton of meds over a long period of time to kill it. Insurance didnt like that option.
