I used to take all my reels to Rick at Angler's Pro in North Richland Hills, TX, for cleaning and repair. The man that Rick used to send them to has now moved away and Rick no longer has a reel repair and cleaning man. I was in there Tues. 1-31 with 10 reels, both spinning and casting, and found that out. I know that there have been posts about cleaning and repair services before but I would reel(y) appreciate some of those suggestions, recommendations, and some comments about and for reel cleaning and repair services other than sending them back to the several different manufactures. I have used Southwestern in Dallas, but had a great deal of difficulty with them a couple of years ago, plus they take forever to get anything done, so I will never go back in there again.
