How is everyone fixing their fiberglass fenders once they crack at the steps? I contacted ez loader and they didn't offer anything except a number to their parts dept! It's 10 years old, and hasn't been used much until I bought it last year. Now the fenders are cracking to pieces. What a piece of junk trailer and company ! They know it's a common issue . $1500 a fender... no way! There has to be a way to fix these. If I had a metal machine and cutter, probably could rig a plate under the step and rivet the fender to it... curious how others tackled this junk that skeeter puts under their great hull!

Maybe talk to a body shop and have them build-up the glass in that stressed area and re-shoot gel-coat. Otherwise it's going to happen again.

Stainless tandem fenders can be purchased for under $200 a side, if you haven't considered that.

I hear ya, Ronnie. My last Skeeter was an '07 and I caught them cracking in 2010. I fought and fought with Skeeter for 6months and I finally won out and they replaced them one year outta warranty. Now I have another '07 20i with very few hours and the boat hasn't had any abuse. I hold my breath every day that I'll notice cracks soon. Hope not, though. If and when it happens, I will contact Skeeter again and explain that this was their issue and that I'm willing to buy new ones, but I also expect a half price deal or something similar. In 2010, they actually offered me half price fenders but I continued to fight until they came through with free replacement. Still remember the guy's name.....Kirby. I wonder if he's still around? I know I wore him out....... bang

you can replace them with metal or stainless fenders the fenders you have are not really fiberglass more of a plastic composite and very hard to repair. when somebody has a tire blow out at 70 mph it will beat them up more than a metal fender.

I had one of my fenders repaired already and I agree with the above statements. They are a pain to fix. Can anyone make some out of graphene? roflmao

Keep an eye on bottom of the cross beams where the water drains out, they will rust out, ez-loaders are notorious for breaking in half at the beams while trialering.

My buddies fenders on his 21i were literally falling off his EZ Loader trailer when his boat was only a few years old. Very "High end" boat on a below "low grade" trailer! He got no help from Skeeter or EZ Loader. Most prefer the custom matching look of the plastic fenders which they originally bought but purchasing OEM fenders is an expensive bandaid. Metal/stainless is the only way to actually fix the problem. Then your only problems are chips.......class action suit? :-)

I would look into this because Russell had one blow out and it trashed the trailer fender. He ended up getting new fiberglass fenders but eventually it will happen again. We are very happy with the steel fenders on the new boat. They are not near as flashy but have piece of mind for when another tire blows and I'm sure it will happen eventually.

I noticed last weekend my bunk supports are falling apart * what the heck is it with these trailers..
Ronnie go with the SS fender, best $ fix no doubt.. Mine are SS no problems it's an 04.
I would like to find an all aluminum trailer for the right price... Good luck on that.
