Does anyone know if the water at Lake Crockett was let out? I was there about a month ago and it was at full pool and went again today and it was 3-4' low. The water was really muddy and the grass that I'm used to is nowhere to be found...

Haven't heard that it has, Pat Mayse is 2 foot low and falling fast. We have not gotten any good rain this fall. The grass on Crockett in August was sparse and no where near as thick as last year.

I called the Caddo Mills office and they told me there's a leak in the spillway, so that plus the lack of rain caused the drop in water level. Apparently, that's the lowest it'll go due to the leak, though. They attributed the lack of grass to the hard freeze we had in mid December...
