I spent a lot of time at Val's Landing after I purchased my first Bass Cat from Val Poe and was fishing with her son Kenny. Ron Pierce and Jan had a place there at Val's and I got to speak with him on numerous occasions when he was down at Fork. Such a great, nice man who was truly concerned with the reputation of Bass Cat boats and always did everything for his customer's.
He will be missed, prayers for the family.

RIP Ron! My condolences to the whole family.

He built a great company and his son Rick has been steadily improving it to the next level.

BassCat for life. Great boats and great customer service. I'm on my third one with another one in the not too distant future.

Ron was a class act. Every time I have gone to Mountain Home or done the Owners event on Fork he was so kind to my son. He will be missed....

Met him at Tiffany's one eve. I was in there eating with my wife when an older gentleman and lady came up to our table and he said "I see your wearing a BassCat shirt" he then asked what kind of Cat I had and I told him he then asked how I liked it and I told him they were the best as far as I was concerned. His wife was asking my wife what was good to eat and if the pie was still good. We asked them to join us and they did we had a great visit and it was like an evening with your Grandparents. He insisted on paying the bill so I got the tip and realized we never did exchange names or a handshake. I extended my hand and introduced myself and then he said my name is Ron Pierce, I about fell over. I've said many times we would go to the BassCat owners and tour the factory and still haven't. Prayers to the Pierce family.

I met Ron and Rick at one of the fishing shows at Arlington convention center years ago. I was working the ZZ Lures booth with Joe and Garrick. They walked up since I was wearing a very cool Basscat hat... told them I bought my old cougar from Tommy and couldn't be happier... they asked for my contact info and I got another hoodie shipped to me. I wish I could afford another new cat...
