any ideas for a new years fishing trip ? Not sure what you fish for at that time of year. Who are the guides you would contact? Party boats ?

Further south you go, the higher the chance the weather won't screw you. We've had some epic days in Seadrift, and we've had four days in a row you just didn't want to fight it, so it can be dicey.

Your options are better out of seadrift than rockport this time of year. Warm trend lights up the back lakes and a cold spell stacks them in the barge canal.
