Take this week off due to election, planning to go to fishing in either Port Aransas or Galveston, surf and bank fishing, any recommendation on which place has better chance this week ? don't have specific target of the type of fish, just want to catch some for fun laugh thanks in advance! Mike

I'm headed to Corpus Wednesday from south Austin. 3 hr. drive for me from Kyle. Bank Fishing the Packery Channel Jetties there. No reports heard recently. was there in Oct. slot reds were on. Don't know any more. May head to Port A south jetty to bank fish for Bull Reds / Spec. Trout. I'm not familiar with Galveston.

Tight Lines!

Shut up and fish!

FYI guys: The first winter cold front is supposed to roll through Tuesday night, and winds for Wednesday are forecast to be 15 from the North, gusting to 22, Thursday 14 gusting to 20, finally Friday back to about 10-14. Fishing is typically weak for two days after a big cold front. Be prepared to change your location to avoid the wind. This is the forecast for Rockport. Galveston probably won't be much different. Be wary and careful!

You have a lot more protected clear water around port a. Just remember the north wind will blow the water out of the bay, making it much shallower. Navigate carefully, the same place you ran through in July might be dry land now.

Went to Corpis Christi Wednesday and Thursday, fishing at
Port A, Packery channel, Oso bay, caught all kinds of fish , trout, red,
Pinfish, and most surprisingly a puffer fish, nasty
Look. Only one keeper founder 18" . Very windy Thursday, caught most of the fish
Wednesday.
