Hope everyone is still doing well! I'm going to give it another try, finished off my can last night and hopefully won't pick up another! Keep stacking 'em.

The key to a quit is between your ears.......

Find substitutes for your "triggers" -

After dinner, put a sugar-free cough drop between your cheek and gum and take a walk.

When driving, put a sugar-free cough drop between your cheek and gum - the cough drop will last as long as the typical craving.

While fishing, use sunflower seeds or the aforementioned cough drops to get past the craving.

Don't even walk into a convenience store or 7-11. Make a pot of coffee at home and fill up a Yeti. Pay for your gas at the pump to avoid walking to the counter and buying a can. Don't "grub" a pinch from your "buddy".

If you really want to stop - you can. If you think you can't - you won't.

Check back in a week - you can do it . . . .

Good luck my friend. It is a TERRIBLY hard habit to break.
You have to have a strong will power and a mind set that you want to quit. Not someone else but, YOU

God Bless

Thanks for the update. After 7 days the cravings will start to get further apart and will last a shorter amount of time.

Keep on doing the substitutes - if you get irritated with someone just politely excuse your self and take a walk.

The Serenity prayer helps . . . . "Courage to change the things I can"

A week in is good - keep on stackin' up the days.

No one seems to post on here about their success or failures any more, but I hope everyone is doing well! I'm at 50 days, and no problems, I did start using Smokey Mountain herbal snuff just to stop my jaw from aching, seems to help. Now I'll have to lose the weight I've put back on. Keep stacking 'em folks!

Another prop for going over 300 - now top a year and let the good times roll and never look back.

8 years coming up in September. Not so much as a puff since 9/11/2009.
