Are city police allowed to pull you over on the tollways and give you a citation? From my understanding they were not allowed to do so. Only state troopers were allowed? Anyone have an idea.

I see Grand Prairie pulling people over on 161 all the time.
Grand Prairie does not give warnings, they write tickets.

I do not think there are any written restrictions. I know at one time in WV the county mounties and the city cops were told to stay off the interstates. Buddy that was a county deputy told me this after I asked him why a deputy did not pull me over for doing 120.
