200 yards north of the point across from the cooling station on the east side of center of the lake in 30' of water sticking up about 6" is a sawed off floater. If it is windy you will not see it.This was my first trip out after picking my boat up from the shop $ 8900.00 for new mid section, lower unit and prop. thank goodness I had insurance. I remember 3 years ago there were 2 stump's one on the left and one on the right close to the power lines, but have not seen them in 2 years. I believe this is one of them only moved further south. the lake is at full level. They are not pumping in water from Lake o the Pines. Water Temp at the discharge is 109*F,the main lake is 99*F. A lot of the grass has died off since June when I was there last. The water is as dirty as I have ever seen it. In June there was a big die off of shad and the Bass where on them in huge school's. Only saw a few school"s of bait and a few fish in 20' of water on my HDS.Could not get a bite on C rig or 10 XD. The fish might have been on the North end but ran out of daylight. I think I will wait for the water to cool off before I go back.
