Didn't catch a lot of keepers but the ones I got in the boat were good-uns. Not much happening under the bridges for me but the timber in the heat of the day was productive (if you didn't melt first). The smaller fish would clobber the jig but the big girls would just grab and hold it. They were really hard to detect. The best jig for me was a chartreuse 1/16 oz. jighead and any jig that had silver glitter. Did best in 14fow about 10 ft. down. Water clarity was about 6 to 8 inches.
Palestine Resort was a nice place. If you eat breakfast at their caf�, you'd better be really hungry. The portions are enormous and good! My only complaint would be how close all the RV sites are together but other than that it was really nice. Looks like they are rebuilding their boat docks too. I'd have no problem going back but I'd skip the weekend.
