Thanks Hank I figured it was still cold. Maybe in a couple weeks with the weather we are having it will get better.

It got better. Last Thurs. when the sun was out I saw temps reach 65 deg. We managed to catch a few fish. Fri it turned windy and cooler and only reached 57. We still managed to catch a few.

Whats the grass like ? I have not been there since last June on a night fishing trip and the grass was so thick it was hard to fish.

The grass is still there. It just has 4 to 5' of water over the top of it now being as the lake came up that much in mid January. Entire lake is fishable again.

Alot of the hydrilla is floating on the surface. TP&W will soon stock grass carp to get rid of the stuff, if they haven't done it already. Naturally it will take awhile.

Sweet, I need to get out there at least once this spring, I've only been there one time and that was last year, that place is largemouth heaven.

Oh yeah back in the early 90s it was'nt anything to go and catch 20 to 30 a day. I use to go night fishing in June, July ,& Aug and the fishing was unreal.

I have filled out my survey and asked that question of TP&W. I didn't get no response. There came a time for me when the dinks turned into lunkers. Now we got dinks again. Although it was reported there was a 9#8oz bass caught this past week on a Gary Yamamoto Senko. Late in the evening, like after dark. Near the dam. I keep trying. I love the little place. Years ago before it opened, Jimmy Houston got to fish there with someone from TP&W and they made a show of it. I said to myself, I wanna go fishin' there. Well that had to be 1988 or somewhere around there, and I went in '89 and I keep going back. My biggest bass came from Purtis.
