Anyone know anything about this lake?

Lake Creek Lake near Riesel

I can't find anything online about it, even if it is public or not.

Looking for smaller lakes around Waco I can put in a small jon boat...

Lake Creek is private and is completely inside the fences of the active coal burning power plant on the premises. Tradinghouse Creek on the other side of Highway 6 is still open for fishing but the power plant is long since closed. I have heard of some decent fishing at Tradinghouse.

If anyone knows of any small lakes within say an hour of Waco that I can put in my 14' (trailered) boat, I'd appreciate it. My 2 cycle outboard crapped out so I'm limited to places I can navigate around with just my transom mounted trolling motor (at a whopping 3.3 mph!)...

Might try the Hubbard City Lakes. These small lakes are ideal for your rig. There are 5 small lakes that hold some good fish. They have plenty of cover for bass to hide in, clear water with tree lined banks. Number 1 has a boat ramp on the road side rest area down the dirt (MUD) trail. Number 4 has a usable boat ramp that a big boat can be launched from when the lake is full like now. You can launch a small boat in 3&5 but can not back the trailer in the water. They are located east of Waco on Hwy 31 about 22 miles

Go out 164 east to Groesbeck and fish the Navasota River above Fort Parker Lake. There's a boat ramp in Fort Parker State Park above the lake on the river. Might call the state park to check conditions due to the heavy rains but it's a good bass fishing river during normal stages and perfect for your boat. FYI: you can still put in a full sized bass boat here.

I read the BASF a GERMAN chemical company bought Lake Creek Lake. Is this a good thing???????

The Hubbard city lakes will be the best place to go. I have got some big bass there, and I fish it out of a two man bass boat that only has a TM. A lot of YAKs fish them. They are low nowdue to the drought. My buddy lives in Hubbard and he banks fishes them all the time and if your going over let me know and I get a lake report for you.

I know Traiding house fairly well i do good on whites and largemouth, the catfish are pretty poor no blues. Its small boat friendly, its just very low at the moment lake doesn't mind if you to park any where on the bank so you can launch a small boat from the bank many people do.

not sure if its good or bad. i highly doubt it opens to the public and the spillway gates are broken so the lake is super low
