I try to come up with ideas to make my boat better for me. its the only thing I can afford for now until I make more money to get a nice boat.i added a phone charger since I use the navionics app. I used to have a 60 lbs battery but I got a gas motor and went with a smaller battery for the trolling motor which allows me to stand up front and use the trolling motor almost like a deck on a bass boat. I have two smaller batteries that I use for lights and the fish finder. I used the batteries they use for deer feeders.

What brand and size gas outboard do you have?

I run a 55lb Minn Kota on my Pond Prowler and my buddy runs a 55lb Minn Kota on his Bass Raider; he'll smoke me if we're racing Haha the Pond Prowler is significantly heavier, though.

Nice one. That body of water looks very familiar. Ft. Worth or Dallas/Carrollton?

I'm interested in getting one of these pond boats and wondering if I could get some questions answered here.

1. I have a Honda CRV with towing capacity of 1500#. Where can you get a trailer for one of these that you could tow at 65MPH?

2. Which one has the best rod storage system?

3. How do you mount a TM in the front? Do you use a Transom mount and turn it around?

4. What is the best size for fishing 2,000 acre lakes or less?

5. Is there a fishing club for these in Dallas area?

Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow.

1. Harbor Freight should have what you need.
2. I believe that the BassHunter has rod storage but you can easily create your own with some creativity.
3. Yes
4. Any size would do but you may want to consider a 10 ft and an extra battery or a small outboard on water that large. I've struggled on 1000 acres with a full charge by myself. Another factor is whether you want the ability to take a fishing buddy with you.
5. Private Water Fishing is a pay for access fishing club located in Dallas which provides members access to tons of private ranch lakes and ponds all over the state but most are within an hour of DFW.
6. Let me know if you want to meet up sometime to catch a few.
