After all this rain and the water slows down I want to go fish the trinity and was hoping someone could help me out on a good spot or two to launch from and good place to bass fish. I've never been on the trinity

I fish the Trinity River in downtown Fort Worth. As others Fort Worth Kayakers have stated, you can either fish from the WOODSHED restaurant (off University Ave/ I30 exit) or Panther Island Pavilion. I like fishing/dropping off from Panther Island Pavilion near West 7th and Montgomery Plaza (near DownTown Fort Worth) In my opinion, this is the place to go. Try parking on the designated spaces for Panther Island parking and launching from underneath North Hendersen St. There, you can navigate eastward (towards the courthouse/Tarrant County College). There are basses along the channel and makes for a great day of local fishing. On the weekends, you can showcase your fishing talents to some beautiful/wonderful people (whether women or men). Hope this helps. Stay safe!

west of downtown fw you can launch around university dr. id do this to fish for panfish and bass around the fw zoo. water is pretty deep there! ALWAYS wear your lifevest n watch for electric water macosins. there is no shortage of them. this area is known as the clear fork of the trinity. once the water gets further into ft worth the water gets kinda stagnant and more trashy i recommend u pull up a google map to SEE look at the parks in arlington around the trinity. around the arlington dump the water is known to turn green during the hotter months. but the parks do have a few launch spots. too much trash in and around dallas trinity for me. SE of dallas is where the gar & carp thrive.

Google maps is your friend, you can launch just about anywhere you can park and drag, cart, whatever your yak down to the river.
