Hi everyone just recently got a little kayak and im new to it but would like to try and get out there and catch me some crappie or maybe even some panfish. I have no idea as to where would be a good place to go thats producing but also isnt very open as wind would probably cause me a lot of trouble. I currently have the intex challenger k1 ( http://www.amazon.com/Intex-Challenger-1-Person-Inflatable-Aluminum/dp/B00177J4JS ) and i know its not the best but figured i would go with it until i find more spots or have a reason to invest in something more prone to actual fishing. Any tips or advice on where to find good spots is much appreciated. Thanks!

Would like to get a limit of crappie for me and brother at least once since we've skunked out on the crappie every time so far this season.

If you're new to the kayak scene and want to get into a mess of Crappie, I would consider going on a charter with Matt Scotch. He can put you on some fish for sure

The river system in FW has any species you want but that's catch & release.....ya may wanna check some of the local lakes that don't have consumption bans & start on those for fish to eat.....
