I'm about to buy a boat and it doesn't come with a cover. I will have to keep the boat outside, under a car port, and will need a cover. I would like for it to be a cover that I can travel with, but if that is too expensive I'll just stick with a stationary cover. Where is a good place to buy covers?

You get what you pay for, I got one from Nolan's. He comes to your house and makes a custom one just for your boat. Yes it cost some, but well worth the money to protect your investment.

How much did you pay at Nolan's and Empire? Looks like Empire doesn't have one for a 98 Pantera II.

Try iboats.com. Bought one from them and it out lived the warranty by a couple of years.

If you plan to travel with the cover on your boat, be prepared to spend some money. It will likely require a custom made cover to fit your boat and trolling motor combination. Also make sure you purchase a cover that is lined so you don't scratch the gel coat and wear the tops of your seats.

Yeah, this ^^^^^. I bought a custom travel cover from Deans for my ChampN : http://www.deanstop.com/Another good custom maker is Aurora : http://www.auroracanvas.com/Both of these companies will most likely knock the bottom out of a $1K/bill Don't know if you can consider these 2 as "values" but they are quality!
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

My Skeeter came with a custom cover (of course I paid for it) made specifically for my boat. If your boat is a Skeeter, Ranger or other popular brand, I'll bet you can order directly through a dealer.

http://www.rockwallmarine.com/contactus.htmCall and ask Tommy or John if they can order one and how much. They may also know someone who makes them for Cats.
